Process & Rules
Kitchens (1st, 2nd & 3rd place awards unless otherwise noted)
- Small Kitchen - Kitchens less than 200 sq. ft.
- Medium Kitchen - Kitchens 201-350 sq. ft.
- Large Kitchen - Kitchens over 350 sq. ft.
- Best Before and After Kitchen (1 award)
Baths (1st, 2nd & 3rd place awards unless otherwise noted)
- Powder - no bath/tub/shower
- Bath - Up to 100 sq. ft
- Large Bath - Over 100 sq. ft.
- Best Before and After Bath (1 award)
Other (1 award)
- Innovative Showroom/Booth
- Universal Design - Kitchen or Bath
Note: 2nd and 3rd place may not be awarded if entries do not meet standard requirements.
Note: Project submissions are limited to a single category unless otherwise noted.

PARAMETERS OF SUBMISSION
The Designer of Record on all projects entered must be the work of a NKBA Ontario Chapter member. Co designers are not required to be members of NKBA. Non NKBA members can click here to become members.
Projects must have been completed between January 1, 2025 - May 31, 2026.
Entries are limited to: DESIGNERS (1) entry per Designer per category (including co designer). COMPANY (2) entries per Company, per category.
When submitting your entry, please select the category which your project best represents. Judges reserve the right to move a project in a more appropriate category, if necessary.
If the entrant is not the owner of the business that billed the project, owner approval is required for eligibility, via the release form. The owner is not required to be a member of NKBA.
All entries must include a photo release from the project owner/client
Projects must be submitted in PDF format in portrait orientation.
All identifying designer and firm information MUST BE deleted from all floor plans, interpretive drawings, design statements and project photos. All submitted materials become property of NKBA Ontario Chapter and will not be returned.
NKBA Ontario Chapter retains non-exclusive rights to all photography for future promotional, public relations and education purposes. Professional photography is highly recommended, the submitted photography is used for publication of winners online and in print. Reshoots are not possible. Entries that do not include professional photography will not be penalized but also may not be considered for publication and promotion.
